Sandi Shapiro

Sandi Shapiro began her career studying ballet and modern dance at the prestigious High School of Performing Arts in New York. Upon graduation, she was accepted by the New York City Center Ballet Company where she studied with George Balanchine.

Later, Sandi danced in several Broadway Shows and as a regular dancer on the long-running Perry Comino and Red Skelton television shows. Sandi danced with Elvis Presley’s “Girls, Girls, Girls”, as well as “The Music Man” and “Bye Bye Birdie”. She was a featured dancer and choreographic assistant in the movie, “Gidget Goes Hawaiian”.

While living in London, Sandi trained for several years as an exercise instructor with Lotie Berk. Upon returning to the U.S., she created her own exercise program called “Total Body Technique”.  Sandi Shapiro’s Total Body Technique focuses on building strength, tone and flexibility. Her classes are extremely inspirational and are ideal for students of all ages, body types, genders and fitness levels.

Sandi’s years of experience and knowledge of the human body make this one of the best classes in Los Angeles.  Sandi has ben working as a full-time fitness trainer for the past 18 years and feels as though she has succeeded when her clients have obtained strength, confidence and a sense of well-being. “Helping my clients to reach their goals is not only my job… it is my passion!”
